Firm History

The litigation law firm of Hartel, Kane, DeSantis & Howie, LLP was established in May of 2000 by Timothy E. Howie, Michael A. DeSantis, Deborah E. Kane, and John W. Hartel. The firm is currently comprised of four partners, one attorney who practices in an "of counsel" role, and several associate attorneys. Together, the partners of Hartel Kane have over 80 years of experience litigating civil and criminal cases in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
